Ma Durga arrives soon

Preparations have begun for the Mulund Durga Puja to be held at Kalidas Natya Mandir Complex from 25th to 30th September, 2017. This will be our 32nd Durga Puja.

The Invitation Card and the Souvenir Ad Booking Form have been printed. The "Souvenir" is an inseparable part of our autumn celebrations. It is a book that is unveiled during the Durga Puja. It contains details about our programmes, interesting articles and messages from well-wishers. The Souvenir is not sold but distributed among our patrons, visitors and sponsors. Putting your message in the Souvenir is a great way of reaching out to hundreds of people in Mulund & neighbouring suburbs, especially the Bengali-speaking community.

This Durga Puja is organized by the Bengal Institute of Art & Culture, a registered Public Trust engaged in preserving and nurturing traditional arts. During the six days of Durga Puja, the puja venue is the nerve-centre of activity, devotion and celebrations. Almost 5000 people from across the city visit the puja venue every year to offer their prayers and seek Ma Durga's blessings. Devotees also partake of lunch prasad (bhog) on Saptami, Ashtami and Navami.

We will soon finalize the contents and design of this year's Souvenir. Companies wishing to place their ad messages in the souvenir and individuals wishing to make special donations may write to us at biac[dot]mulund[at]gmail[dot]com or call our General Secretary Shri Subal Kumar Saha on +91-9820671275 by 31st Aug'17.
Donations made to the Bengal institute of Art & Culture are eligible for Income Tax exemption under Section 80G.

  2. Any discussion is incomplete without Durga Puja organized by various people at their home. Some family maintains this tradition for hundreds of years. The rituals, the idols remain surprisingly same for years maintaining the tradition. diwali wallpaper full size
