A note of thanks

Durga Puja begins tomorrow. The past few weeks have been hectic and now we're all set to welcome Ma Durga.

We are deeply grateful to our well-wishers who have helped us in innumerable ways.

A special word of thanks to those who have made special donations. Many have donated in memory of their departed family members. May the departed souls rest in peace. We pray to Ma Durga for peace, prosperity and health for all.

The venue

For those of you who would visit the Mulund Durga Puja for the first time, here's how to reach the venue:

Address:
Mahakavi Kalidas Natya Mandir Complex
Purushottam Kheraj Marg (popularly called PK Road)
Mulund (West), Mumbai

If you need directions, ask for Kalidas Natya Mandir. It's one of the most famous landmarks of Mulund. If you're coming by train, exit Mulund station on the West side. You could then take an auto-rickshaw (5 minutes) or walk it up (20 minutes).

On entering the complex, you will see a large auditorium. Keeping the auditorium to your right, walk a few steps till you come to a small temple. Turn left at the temple and you are on the pathway leading to Durga Mondop which is inside another smaller auditorium.

Adding Jubilation to Jubilee

Durga Puja is just about a month away. We are gearing up for the celebrations. A great thing about Durga Puja is that the celebrations don't end on Bijoya Dashomi. A string of Pujas follow: Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja & Saraswati Puja.

The Souvenir

The "Souvenir" is an inseparable part of our autumn celebrations. It is a book that is unveiled during the Durga Puja. It contains details about our programmes, interesting articles and messages from well-wishers. The Souvenir is not sold but distributed among our patrons, visitors and sponsors.

Putting your message in the Souvenir is a great way of reaching out to hundreds of people in Mulund & neighbouring suburbs, especially the Bengali-speaking community.

Those mesmerizing beats

Durga Puja is about two months away, but we can already hear the mesmerizing beats of the Dhaak in our hearts.

2010 will be the 25th year of the Sarbojanin Durga Puja at Mulund (Mumbai). Like every year, we will celebrate Durga Puja at Kalidas Natya Mandir Complex, Mulund (West). Do visit us during the Puja (13-17 Oct'10). If you need any info, drop us a line at biac.mulund@gmail.com
